  1. Overview

These Terms of Use and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Life Policy Dashboard (the “Dashboard,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Dashboard, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Dashboard on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Our Privacy Policy (lifepolicydash.com/privacy-policy) explains how we handle user/account data and non-PII policy-monitoring fields. These Terms incorporate the Privacy Policy by reference.

  2. Service Description

The Dashboard is a professional portal for licensed life-insurance agents and agency leaders to monitor policy-monitoring fields (e.g., premium status, fund values for VULs, and persistency metrics). The Dashboard does not display policyholder PII and is designed as an additional monitoring layer for convenience and speed, not as a replacement for official insurer systems or records.

  3. Role Allocation and Data Handling

Controller/Processor: We act as Data Controller only for user/account data (e.g., name, business email, credentials, and technical/usage data). We do not act as Data Controller or Processor for policyholder PII.

Policy-monitoring fields: The Dashboard handles the following non-PII fields only: Policy Number, Policy Name (standard name), Date Issued, Modal Premium, Premium Frequency, Last Billing Date, Next Billing Date, Policy Premium Status, and Fund Value details (Unit Price, Unit Volume, per-fund values, and aggregate value).

No PII design: The Dashboard is architected to avoid ingestion, storage, or display of policyholder PII. You must not input, upload, or attempt to re-identify policyholders using any information available on or off the Dashboard.

  4. Eligibility and Account Registration

Professional use only: The Dashboard is intended solely for professional use by licensed agents and agency leaders; it is not for consumers or minors.

Vetting: Agent access is subject to agency-leader vetting and our approval.

Accurate information: You must provide accurate, current information (name, business email) and keep it updated.

Credentials: You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and all activities under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or suspected compromise.

  5. Access and Availability

Territorial scope: The Dashboard is accessible only in the Philippines.

Availability: We aim for a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime. We may suspend or limit access for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons.

Changes: Features may evolve. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time with or without notice, provided we do not materially reduce security protections or contravene mandatory law.

  6. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    1. Upload, input, or otherwise attempt to process policyholder PII on the Dashboard.
    2. Attempt to re-identify any person from policy-monitoring fields or combine such fields with external data to identify policyholders.
    3. Access, copy, or use data or areas of the Dashboard without authorization, including scraping, harvesting, or bulk export not expressly permitted.
    4. Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Dashboard; reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code.
    5. Bypass or interfere with security controls, rate limits, or access controls; upload malware or harmful code.
    6. Use the Dashboard in violation of applicable law, insurer agreements, or professional/licensing requirements.
    7. Misrepresent identity or affiliation, or share your account with unvetted or unauthorized persons.Misrepresent identity or affiliation, or share your account with unvetted or unauthorized persons.
  7. Your Responsibilities

Lawful use: You are solely responsible for your access and use, including compliance with relevant laws, the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and IRR, NPC issuances, and your insurer or agency agreements.

Accuracy: You acknowledge that the Dashboard is a monitoring aid and that official records remain with the insurer or your organization’s primary systems. You will independently verify critical policy information before taking action.

Security cooperation: You will implement reasonable measures to protect your devices and credentials and promptly report incidents to us.

  8. Intellectual Property

Our IP: The Dashboard (software, design, databases, documentation, and trademarks) is owned by or licensed to us and protected by IP laws. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.

License to you: We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Dashboard solely for professional policy monitoring as authorized by your agency/insurer.

Feedback: If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use and incorporate them without obligation to you.

  9. Third-Party Services

The Dashboard may rely on or link to third parties (e.g., AWS for hosting, Google Analytics for usage analytics). We are not responsible for third-party terms, policies, or actions. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms.

  10. Confidentiality

Confidential information: Non-public information you access through the Dashboard—such as agency metrics, persistency scores, or per-fund values—is your organization’s confidential information and must be handled accordingly.

Protection: You agree to protect confidential information using at least the same care you use to protect your own confidential information and not less than reasonable care, and to use it only for authorized professional purposes.

  11. Data Security and Incidents

We implement ISO/IEC 27001-aligned controls appropriate to the risks (including encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access, logging, vulnerability management, and administrative safeguards).

If a personal data breach affecting user/account data meets notification thresholds, we will notify affected customers and/or the National Privacy Commission within 72 hours of becoming aware, consistent with law and available information at the time.

  12. Fees and Taxes (if applicable)

If fees are introduced, they will be communicated with reasonable prior notice. You are responsible for applicable taxes. We may suspend access for unpaid amounts after notice and a reasonable cure period.

  13. Disclaimers

No warranties: The Dashboard is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

No PII handling: The Dashboard is designed to avoid policyholder PII. You are responsible for ensuring you do not input PII or attempt re-identification.

No professional advice: The Dashboard provides monitoring indicators only and does not constitute legal, tax, investment, or financial advice.

  14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Dashboard and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your access to or use of the Dashboard; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of law or third-party rights; or (d) any attempt to input policyholder PII or re-identify policyholders.

  15. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if: (a) we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or applicable law; (b) we detect a security risk or suspected fraud/abuse; or (c) required by law or by your agency/insurer. You may stop using the Dashboard at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive (e.g., confidentiality, IP, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity).

  16. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Dashboard or email. The “Effective Date” above indicates the latest revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

  17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Venue: You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines for any claims not otherwise resolved.

Good-faith resolution: Parties will first attempt to resolve disputes informally in good faith within 30 days. If not resolved, either party may pursue legal remedies in the agreed venue.

  18. Export and Compliance

You represent that you are not prohibited from using the Dashboard under applicable laws. You will not use the Dashboard in violation of Philippine law or any applicable export, sanctions, or data-residency requirements.

  19. Entire Agreement; Severability; Assignment

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Dashboard and supersede prior or contemporaneous understandings. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remainder will remain in effect. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a corporate transaction.
